Small parts nuts & caps were loose in the box while the cloth bag,which was dirty,with all the other small parts was closed with a rubber band. Inside the small parts bag some of the plastic bags had been opened and parts were loose in there. The material on the seat/back had several cuts from exposed raw metal ends of other parts. After making repairs the assembly took extra time due to very poor instruction. These instructions were never tested to see if they worked. If I had paid full price for this it would have been returned.

As others have said, the instructions were a nightmare! The entire panphlet needs to be re-written. I suggest that a 2-person team write the new one while constructing this swing from scratch. (And, use a good digital camera w/close-ups!) Anyway, I'm a grandmother age 66, and I put this thing together by myself on my screened porch. It took me a total of about 6 hours of working, not counting the two or three trips to the hardware store to get more screws since they send you four but want you to use six, of three sizes. If you are going to attempt this project, I recommend that as you open the pkgs of screws/bolts, you use a fine point Sharpie pen and write the pkg's letter on each screw. That way, when you need to go to the store (and you WILL need to), you can take one of the screws and the instructions with you to get the right ones. Ace harware has these metric screws, same sizes, plus the same type of nut. The swing sat too high off the floor, so I purchased a couple of S hooks to lower it a bit. This is a nice swing for the money, if you have the patience to try to put it together. (Don't tighten the screws too much until the very last one is in place because chances are you will have guessed wrong on which way some of the pieces go, and will have to undo the screws and change it.) Good luck, you will need it!

It looks great in the picture but: there were some screws missing but I overcame this by visiting our local Home Depot and getting what I needed to complete the assembly. Once build, it looked great just like in the picture. However, we are not able to use it because the seat is always wet, every time you sit on it you get up wet. Even in the 90 degrees weather. We have it sitting outside on the deck so I guess the overnight moisture gets into it and it seems to never dry. Its also tricky to sit on since the front pillow (the one you sit on) sticks out quite a bit over the metal frame underneath of it so you fill like you might fall down if you not careful. I cant even send it back since its so akward to package and it would cost a fortune to ship back. So, if you want a nice looking swing to look at all summer: go for it. But if you accually planning on using it, forget it.
