I have a 'special needs' cat who likes to be carried around. This carrier has been perfect for me to hold her close but hands-free so I can do work around the house.

My cat is a 5 1/2 lb. Siamese and the "Small" carrier is a little large around her body because she is so skinny, but the velcro straps on the side are useful to adjust the body tighter. She is completely comfortable and relaxed in it.

There is a hole for the tail and it could be difficult to feed the cat's tail through it if the cat is squirming too much, but otherwise it is easy to get on since it goes on like a diaper and then you close it with the velcro straps on the side. If you find that the shoulder straps are falling off your shoulders, try clipping it on with a criss-cross shape across your back.

The first time I ordered this I ordered a Small Sz for my 5lb Chi. They sent me a Med. They said on there website their small is the manufactures Med. It cost me [$]to send it back so I could have a new one in time for a dog event that I was going to. Well they sent me a extra small which seems OK but the leg holes in the XS are about 8" apart. My Chi legs are only about 1" apart. So it is impossible for me to use this second front pack I got. The leg holes are sooo far apart its redicoulous. Ive wasted soo much money. Be aware of this problem when you order this thing.

The carrier is well made and comfortable but is too small for my 19# Westie. It would be good if the leg holes were larger.

Comments about Outward Hound Legs Out Front Pet Carrier:

Seems to be a good product, however, the sizing seems to be a bit off. My yorkie is 6lbs. and is to big for the small carrier. The front of the carrier won't keep her in. For a smaller dog would be great for long walks.
