I bought the 20" pots for two 12 yr old dwarf kumquat trees that I depend on for my yearly supply of kumquat marmalade. I particularly like that the pots are so light, because I bring the small trees inside for the winter. And the pots are so attractive that my neighbor stopped by to ask where he could buy some for his tomato plants. Even standing right next to the pots, they look like real terra cotta, instead of resin.

I ordered the marble planter thinking that it would be white like the pictures. It was not, it is a speckled gray color that looks like a cheap faux granite plastic. The planter is too lightweight for its size, it would tip too easily if you do not weigh the bottom down with rocks when planting.

I ordered several pots in 3 different sizes. The first arrived in less than a week and the the next shipment has yet to arrive. Count on at least a month delivery time for the larger sizes.

Comments about Round Resin Madison Planter:

Old Bronze is a very lovely color that harmonizies with my concrete, copper and black planters. The style Madison while appearing contempory actually blends nicely with all my other planters. The height is nice for trailing some annuals with my tropicals.

Comments about Round Resin Madison Planter:

This is the 3rd time I have added additional planters to the garden. I purchased the 16, 20 and 26 inch this time and love them as much as the first one I ordered 4 years ago. The winters are cold here in NE and we leave them out year round. The first one I bought hasn't faded at all and matches the new ones perfectly.

very natural…. we choose old Bronze, but the color is really dark, very dark brown…. looked more like yellowish when I opened it…. we'll keep it anyway… that's why only 4 stars!
Otherwise it would have been 5!

Q: "Is the Madison polyethylene planter frost- proof for New York City outdoors?"
A: Yes, you can leave this out year round, and it will not crack.
                  Q: "Can this be painted?"
A: We cannot guarantee that paint will or will not adhere to this item. If is painted, it is non-returnable.
Q: "Are these pots safe for growing food in?"
A: Yes, these pots are safe for growing food.
Q: "Can the plants be planted directly in the pot?"
A: Yes, plants can be put directly in the pot.
                  Q: "Are there drainage holes?"
A: Yes, these pots have drainage holes.
Q: "Will these planters take moving around when full? I have seven olive trees that I must bring in every Fall and move outside every Spring. The pots that I currently have them in split when I moved them - they could not bear the weight of the soil and the plant during moving. These appear to have a relatively thick side wall which would support the soil?"
A: These will not break if you move them.  You just have to make sure you get the right size pot for the tree so it can with stand the weight of the soil and tree.
Q: "Does this come with a matching drainage plate for underneath it?"
A: Currently we do not offer the matching plate. We recommend item# RPI007.
