The Majestic Curio Cabinet lives up to its regal name. This large curio cabinet doubles as a floor clock and is sure to stay in your family for generations. An arched pediment draws attention to the bookmatched, rare olive ash burl overlays. The clock face is composed of a cast dial with intricate corner spandrels, and the center disk boasts an astrological blue moon phase. This special cast design extends along the brass weights and pendulum.Crystal-cut grooved glass stands out on the lower door, sides, and escapement panels. The frame of this curio cabinet is finished in Windsor Cherry on select hardwoods and veneers, and adjustable levelers are located under each corner to provide stability on uneven surfaces.
Inside, cable-driven, triple-chime Kieninger movement keeps time faithfully and includes an automatic nighttime chime shut-off option. Six glass shelves are held securely in place by cushioned metal shelf clips. Behind the pendulum, three shelves run across the width of the cabinet and can be adjusted to customize your display. The VERY BEST example of a quality grandfather clock I've ever seen! I HAD to have it when I was decorating an old Tudor house I recently purchased. It is showcased in my living room as the main focal point upon making a front door entrance to my home and serves to elegantly display my fine glass ware in addition to serving as an eloquent time piece. The overall design and cabinet could not be any finer. The wood coloring conveys a feeling of warmth. I will continue to enjoy this functional and "eye-popping" piece forever!!
