Description

Available in a variety of sizes and finishes, this hardwood platform bed features a near-seamless tongue-in-groove construction. Just picture the depth, drama, and elegant simplicity of your favorite wood floor, and you'll have the idea.
If your bedroom's big on style but short on space, pairs of raised- or flat-panel storage drawers are available. The twin size can fit two drawers on one side, while the full, queen, and king sizes can accommodate up to four drawers, two on each side. No box spring is required. However, thanks to a frame that adjusts in height, this platform bed can be used with a mattress alone or a box spring with mattress - whichever you wish.

About Atlantic Furniture
Founded in 1983 as Watercraft, Inc., Atlantic Furniture started as a manufacturer of pine waterbed frames. Since then, the Springfield, Mass.-based company has expanded to Fontana, Calif. The company has moved away from the use of pine and now specializes in imported furniture made of the wood of rubber trees.
The Benefits of Eco-Friendly Rubberwood
Prized as an environmentally friendly wood, rubberwood makes use of trees that have been cut down at the end of their latex-producing life cycle. The trees are removed by hand and replaced with new seedlings. In the past, felled rubber trees were either burned on the spot or used as fuel for locomotive engines, brick firing, or latex curing. Now the wood is used in the manufacture of high-end furniture. It is valued for its dense grain, stability, attractive color, and acceptance of different finishes.
Atlantic's Unique Five-Step Finishing Process
Each product in the entire line is finished with a high-build, five-step finishing process. After a thorough sanding, a wipe-on sealer is applied, followed by a tinted sealer to even the grain and color of the wood. Additional sanding prepares the surface for the first base color coat, more sanding, and a second base color coat. After a final sanding, the finish coat is applied. This process produces a beautiful and durable finish that will last for years.

Owned for 2 1/2 years. Needed a bed with good support and storage. This has both of these. [...] Easy to assemble, very comfortable and is still solid once up after moved between bedrooms (three times) and to a new house. No squeaks. Had to be careful when moving it and thought it wouldn't handle it but all went well. Storage drawers are great. Have little rollers on them and fit a LOT in. Only other complaint is on the attention to detail on the finish on the headboard: There are little chips of wood in the join between the beadboard and the trim. Not noticable when out of bed but is from pillow! Overall a very good buy for the price.

Everything is very nice with the exception of the painting was not to great at some locations. THe edges of the slats on the footboard and footbord are not fully coated. and a few touch ups can be seen. The edges of the wook in a few places are rough where it would seem it should be smooth. Other than that the bed is very sturdy and a snap to put together. Very comfortable.

After ten years my wife and I wanted a new bed.We searched local furniture shops and the Internet.After a week or so I found this bed.I was worried that such a large item would be damaged and I could see a nightmare trying to fix it.This was not the case.Easy to assemble,looks great and much cheaper then others we looked at.Since then we have ordered night stands to match.Again we have been happy with the purchase.We will buy more products from this company.
