Comments about Marcy Platinum Power Rack with Optional Attachments:

I ran the risk of not buying this product because of some of the negative reviews. Seems that people look to shoot a product down for trivial reasons. There ARE a couple things I would want changed or enhanced on the rack, but the bottom line is that it is a phenomenal product for the price. Whoever said it is not sturdy must have put it together wrong or is using more than the recommended weight. It's solid and good for all the uses it promotes. I am very happy with the purchase.

Comments about Marcy Platinum Power Rack with Optional Attachments:

Product appeared used when I received it. There is chrome missing from the weight holders, there are several dings, chips in the paint and dents. The pull up bar apparently doesn't fit the bolt holes precisely so it moves and squeaks when doing pull ups. I like the product, but what I received appears well used, not new.

        • Inexpesive
        • Multi Station

        Cons

        • Cheaper construction

        • Slightly unsteady

        Best Uses

Comments about Marcy Platinum Power Rack with Optional Attachments:

For the price, this power rack/bench is extremely capable at providing all the necessary elements for basic strength training lifts. The rack does shift while doing weighted dips and chin ups, which requires a counterbalance of weight on the base. The construction of the rack and bench is solid enough to accommodate the weight range I use, but for heavy power lifting it might be wise to purchase a more durable half rack
