Comments about Martin Universal Martin Pro-Draft Parallel Straightedge:
As an architect who still draws by hand, the Mayline Mobile parallel straightedge has been my gold standard for thirty years but after using the Martin Pro-Draft, I doubt that I'll go back.
The Pro-Draft works just as well or better than the Mobile but the look and feel of the aluminum top plate, wider transparent edge/back plate and surface mounted locking mechanism work together to make it a superior instrument. And when you look at the price differential, the Pro-Draft comes out way ahead in my book.
