The top compartment opens to reveal two open sections and ring rolls, while the doors have three necklace hooks each and catch panels. The three open drawers provide ample storage space. About Mele
Emidio Mele, an Italian immigrant to the United States, came to New York City in 1896 and learned to make jewelry boxes as an apprentice before founding Mele Manufacturing in 1912. He began by designing and building elegant displays for jewelry store windows. His jewelry box-making business grew throughout the 1900s, responding to demands for boxes to hold Purple Hearts during WWII and developing as a popular household name for quality jewelry boxes. Today Mele Jewelry Box is known as the Mele Companies, which encompass various divisions under the Mele name. Now based in Utica, N.Y., Mele still upholds the family atmosphere on which it was founded and remains America's foremost name in jewelry cases.

This arrived as promised in 3 days with no charge. I gave it as a Christmas gift to my son's long-time girlfried and she loved it! The quality of the wood and interior lining is exeptional. The curved wood opening on the sides are very unique. The mirror opening on top was a nice added touch.

My daughter loved the jewelry box. It has 2 large compartments with sturdy hooks for necklaces, a nice ring storage and drawers for earrings and bracelets. Great value for a beautifully finished jewelry box. It holds a lot and is still compact enough to sit on her dresser.
