Looks good, important as it is in my family room and visible from our front door. Did have a few small dings and a scratch as shipped in the box; this is made from pine and not hardwood (not a complaint, just an observation). Works great and competition grade/thickness bristle board fits perfectly (just!).

I Bought the Metropolitan Dart Board Solid Wood Cabinet for Bristle Dart Boards in Cinnamon.

PROBLEM: The dartboard cabinet does NOT fit a normal dartboard inside it and allow the doors to close. There's clearly a design flaw here; they forgot to consider the depth of the scoreboard & outcharts mounted on the inside of the doors when calculating the required depth of the inside of the cabinet; as a result it comes up 1/8-1/4 of an inch shy of the space required. In order for the dartboard to fit, the scoreboards MUST be removed from the inside of each door.

ATTACHED PICTURE: shows the difference after I removed the scoreboard from the right side, while the 1/4" outchart remained mounted on the left door...it's rather significant

SOLUTION: After removing both the boards, I tediously peeled off the white outchart & scoreboard sticky-backed-plastic from their boards and stuck them directly onto the wood doors, then drilled the screw holes deeper (as not to split the wood) and put the screws back in the holes, re-securing them on the doors. Now they close fine. They peel up a little on the edges but the screws should keep them from peeling too much.

INTERESTING FACT & LIKELY SOURCE OF THE MANUFACTURING ISSUE: both the 1/4 wood pieces from which the outchart and scoreboard were peeled were obviously just scrap from different sources - one was unfinished plywood and the other was plywood with colored slick veneer on each side.
Notably, in the pictures I saw on Hayneedle website (where I bought mine), the outchart & score appear to be baked onto 1/8" masonite-boards (vice stickers on 1/4" plywood); So perhaps is just Luck of the Draw whether you get a cabinet that closes, because they cannot bother to quality-control check their scoreboards/outcharts manufacturers.

PROs: Aside from this, the cabinet itself is very nice; the cinnamon finish matches old homes hardwood well.

FOR THOSE WHO WANT SIZING SPECIFICS: The actual interior depth of the cabinet is 2 1/8 inches. Dartboards are listed as 1.5in deep but that does not include the number ring mounted on the front and the screw sticking out the back which puts it around 2 inches total. That leaves 1/8 of an inch between the front of the dartboard and the solid wood door. This would be an viable amount of space, however 1/4 inch plywood boards for the scoreboard & outchart are mounted to the inside of the wood door, taking up 1/8 inch too much, and thus do not allow the doors to close. ---> 1/4 in more space is needed for a viable commercial design, however 1/8th is the minimum required to at least get the doors to shut, although the scoreboard would press up against the dartboard which would not be ideal.

This would get 5 stars if I didn't have to spend hours figuring out a workaround to their design & quality control oversights.

Hope this helps.

The quality is comparable to the price paid. Had to reassemble after opening, most of the screws had stripped out during shipping. very small Chinese screws with no thread.

Comments about Metropolitan Dart Board Solid Wood Cabinet for Bristle Dart Boards:

Came with some small nicks on the outside which is no big deal realizing that pine is a soft wood, but the cabinet itself is not deep enough for the doors to close all of the way. No matter what I did with the mounting brackets on the back of the dart board, the doors would not close (was 1/4 inch off) and I just made it worse by trying to flatten the brackets on back. They only give you three brackets which makes no sense at all. You don't realize any of this until you hang everything up, and since I needed dry wall anchors, I'm not about to take it down and ship it back. I have a professional Winmau Blade 4 board, so maybe the cheaper boards would fit better?! Over all the cabinet itself is nice looking, but I'm very unhappy that it won't fit in properly and cabinet won't close right.
