Assembly InstructionsCare
POLYWOOD® material is made of HDPE plastic resin that has been purified and UV protected. It is generally cared for and cleaned with soap and warm water.
For certain stains and additional cleaning power, a 1/3 bleach and 2/3 water solution can be used on the product without affecting the color.
Also, a popular method of cleaning is a high-pressure power wash. (Not to exceed 1,500 psi, which is the equivalent of a car wash.) The surface characteristics of the product may require the use of a soft bristle brush to get into the creases.
The hardware used in the assembly and construction of our furniture is an 18-8 commercial-grade stainless steel that has an additional Xylan protective and cosmetic coating. Although the quality of the hardware has a high level of corrosive resistance, the hardware can show some sign of corrosion in salt air environments.
A practical solution to these signs of corrosion would be to wash the product with soap and water. Use a soft bristle brush to scrub the corroding areas of the hardware. Also, use appliance touch-up paint in the appropriate color to protect the hardware. Appliance touch up-paint can be purchased at local hardware stores.

After years of fixing and repainting my wood adirondack chairs, this was the year they were tossed. I knew I needed a no maintenance chair but the price still stung a bit initially and I worried they would look cheap in the color white. But these adirondack chairs are wonderful. They look substantial and the curved back is very comfortable. Not having to repair and repaint is a relief and will save me a weekend in the spring. I will add to this collection.

Comments about Exclusive! POLYWOOD® Recycled Plastic Classic Curveback Adirondack Chair:
These chairs arrived quickly and efficiently. They were quite easy to assemble, but then my husband is a "tool man". Only three parts to assemble, the front legs and the two arms. I am impressed with the sturdiness and finish. I do wish that they were not quite so clunky looking but I searched the internet and could not find any of this material that looked as graceful as my wood chairs look. The curve in the back is slight and not very comfortable to lean against. Not having to ever paint them is such a plus to me.

Comments about Exclusive! POLYWOOD® Recycled Plastic Classic Curveback Adirondack Chair:
We bought two of these adirondack chairs 10 years ago and they have held up very well in the Bahamian sun. The salt water environment is harsh and we are very pleased wiith how well these chairs look. The hardware is stainless steel and we have no rust spots.
During this time, we purchased less expensive wooden chairs. We have to paint them every two years, we have rust spots from their non stainless hardware. Some of the hardware has actually deterioted to the point that we had to add new screws.
These chairs are at a rental house and get a lot of use. The only maintenance is an occasional scrub with a plastic brush.
Recycled plastic is the way to go. We are very pleased with these adirondack chairs. David
