Description
The minimalist, contemporary design of the Murray Platform Bed is perfect for a recent college grad or apartment-dweller with limited space. The bare bones platform frame made of yellow meranti wood is designed to be used with a mattress only without attaching a headboard. Since the frame has a center support and slat system, no box spring is required. Available in your choice of finishes, the Murray Platform Bed is part of Fashion Bed Group's Urban Options Collection, a group of beds and daybeds designed to give you a variety of choices. Underbed clearance is 5.5 inches. Mattress and bedding are not included.
Optional nightstands are available with this contemporary platform bed. Featuring clean, open design elements, the matching nightstands attach directly to the bed frame. Order one or two to suit your preference.

This is a follow up to my previous review. If you have to move the bed, to vacuum etc. be sure and grab it at the corners (where the metal hardware is)this is were it is the most sturdy. I would not recomment grabbing the bed from any side rail or top or bottom rail to move it. I almost did and was afraid it was going to crack the wood. Also, don't forget to add in the weight of the mattress and the weight of the people dogs etc that will be sleeping in the bed to get to the overall max weight capacity of the bed. Again I was told by customer service the queen size bed will hold up to 600lbs.

It's really too bad I have to give this a low review. After the mess we went through, it's a great platform, but [...] the instructions show one of the illustrations incorrectly so we put it together upside down and then had to redo it...Just make sure you don't throw out your box springs before putting it together like we did-oops!

Well the bed came in perfect condition always a worry ordering furniture on line. I put it together in about 45 minutes with one person 2 would always be easier. The dark wood stain is real nice and the wood railings are nicer than i figured for the price. I would say my only odd complaint is it comes with a tool for all but the phillips head screws on the planks but everyone has one.

I was pleasantly surprise to the response time for delivery. Everything needed for assembly was packaged correctly. The bed was just right for a condo bedroom. The wood was sturdy and there were no problems with the set up.
