Reminiscent of the style of the whaling era of the 1800s, the Nantucket Bike Basket Company Lightship Stained Classic Tapered Handlebar Basket is a piece unlike your ordinary bicycle basket. The baskets in the Lightship Collection are hand-woven with an extra-fine rattan cane material, which is the outer skin of the natural rattan fiber. The stained brown basket is designed to be a replica of the Nantucket Lightship basket first produced in 19th-century Nantucket. There's no ugly Velcro or zippers to worry about, because the basket features buckle straps that are tightly secured to the handlebars. Weight limit: 13 pounds. Includes 1-year warranty. Dimensions: 12L x 7.5W x 9H inches.

I love this basket. It's the right size for green-grocer purchases and fits my "old lady" refurbished touring bike perfectly. It's exactly what I was looking for. Very nice workmanship and fine leather buckles. Made for my riding around town and summer visits to Cape Cod. Makes me very happy.
