Like all portable grills, the Napoleon PTSS215PI Freestyle Propane Grill is lightweight, compact, and great for tailgating and trips to the great outdoors, but it has something other compact grills don't: infrared technology. The infrared burner conserves more fuel and cooks faster than typical tube burners, sealing in juices for a restaurant-style sear. This heavy-duty stainless steel grill features a tightly sealed, wind-resistant lid that won't budge in the parking lot or at the lake. A tube burner and sear plate produce a consistent heat and reduce flare-ups, and foldable legs and a lockable lid make it easy to store. If you're a sports fanatic or someone who loves the outdoors as much as the aroma of a sizzling bratwurst, you'll never go to another gathering without this handy propane grill.
- Ceramic infrared burner and sear plate
- Folding stainless steel legs
- Electronic ignition
- Lid features a lockable latch
- Uses a 1 lb. propane cylinder (sold separately)
- With a 4-foot hose (sold separately), can adapt to a 20 lb. tank
About Napoleon Grills
Rising up from its humble beginnings in Barrie, Ontario, Canada, Napoleon Gourmet Grills has become North America's largest privately owned manufacturer of top-of-the-line wood and gas fireplaces, gourmet gas and charcoal grills, waterfalls, and outdoor living products. It all started 1976 when Wolfgang Schroeter started manufacturing steel railings. His designs proved to be a great success and soon enough he was producing an original stove with a solid cast iron two-door design in a 1,000 square foot facility. And over the past 30 years his company Wolf Steel Ltd's dedication to innovative patented technology has lead to the exclusive infrared grilling experience, and two new departments: Napoleon Fireplaces, and, of course, Napleon Gourmet Grills. Today, this company operates with over 500,000 square feet and over four-hundred hard workers in its employ.

Comments about Napoleon PTSS215PI Freestyle Portable Propane Infrared Grill:
I replaced an older infrared grill of a different brand where the heat was difficult to control. This tended to burn meat at times. The Napoleon grill has very good heat control. The heating element appears to be somewhat further away from the grilling surface and aids in this process. Some cuts of meat are of different sizes and hence cook more quickly than others. You can place them on the top rack and they keep their temperature.
Napoleon could add useful information regarding set up and size specifications. The grill is shipped with the front lock enclosed by two metal appendages to stop the grill from opening during shipping. Napoleon should place to the box a note that you need to pry these open to get at the lock. Another useful piece of information is the leg length is 18 inches. You can place the grill on a small table. One has to collapse the legs to get at the drip pan which slides out length wise.
