This hand truck is designed to move in any direction, including lateral movements. Plus, the stairclimber design features three triple-wheel housings, which means that the wheels rotate on a center axis, allowing you to go up or down stairs with little effort. The hand truck's framework is constructed out of 1.25L x 1.25W x 0.07H-inch wall tubing and the handle is composed of 1-inch-diameter pipe for durability. Each wheel is made up of three sets of hard plastic roto casters. This hand truck does a fantastic job of maneuvering loads up and down stairs, which is just the task I ordered it for. It is surprisingly maneuverable, thanks to the side-rolling wheels. You never need to lift a load to reposition the truck wheels!
Assembling requires some basic tools and some mechanical intuition, as there was no manual or instructions packed in the box. This was not a problem for me, but I can imagine it might be for someone who has not worked with mechanical assemblies before.
