Kids, this is a great upgrade for an old pair of binocs I lost in travel, but I enjoy it. Heavier is OK when I have the added tripod attachment to use it more like a spotting scope. Zoom to 22X worked better than my lost 15X binocs, too.

Great all-around binoculars for outdoor or indoor action. From basketball, baseball, and football games played indoors to numerous outdoor sporting events, the Aculon is a very good choice. Although they are not waterproof, they are water resistant and provide a bright, clear view through the 50mm objective lens. The Aculons also make a great birding binocular as a very reasonably priced. If you're looking for a low-light hunting binocular for the serious hunter, I'd suggest you look to upgrade to a Monarch 5, Monarch 7, or an older model Monarch ATB binocular.

I am extremely pleased with my new Aculon zoom binos. I use these for everything from Nascar races to siting in my rifles. It actually comes with a tripod attachment so you can mount on a tripod. I find it much easier to find my groupings looking with 2 eyes instead of my spotting scope where you only use 1 eye. They have a hard rubber coating so they feel very durable. Great Product!
