Comments about Novaplus 500 Umbrella Clothesline Dryer:

Easy to set up once you get the strings sorted out. The cement base was a bit of a challenge, but not too hard. I used tire method: got an old tire for free from my auto repair place, bought 7 40-pound bags of Sakrete after scouring the Internet for info on how to get it done. Novaplus should have its own instructions on this, and they should include the fact that a lot of places will sell you old hard bags of concrete that do not cure. Don't buy them. I found that out online just before making the cement and was able to return six of the seven. It then took me 3 80-pound bags of Quikrete to fill the tire -- takes some muscles, but well worth it.
The little cap that sits on top of the unit fell off when I went to set it up, but I'm hopeful there's some way to attach it. Set up was easy, but not because of the instructions, which are not in very good English.
Generally, it's a neat clothesline, plus I now have a 240-pound tire filled with concrete that someday I can roll down the hill to see what it hits.

Comments about Novaplus 500 Umbrella Clothesline Dryer:

Our subdivision does not allow clotheslines. But, it will allow temporary poles.... so this is perfect! I can now hang out my sheets and not break the rules.. It is easy to use and removal is also easy.

Comments about Novaplus 500 Umbrella Clothesline Dryer:

I've only used the clothesline once and it seems to be fine. You pretty much have to sink the tube in concrete or it won't be steady. But that's to be expected. Only criticim is that if you're very tall (my partner is 6'5") you have to duck to get under it to hang clothes. The model in the picture must be tiny or else we missed something in the set up.

My husband installed it Saturday. The directions were straightforward. I also appreciate that it is easy to remove when necessary. I haven't had an opportunity to use it, but it looks to be exactly what I wanted. Amy Pearson

Comments about Novaplus 500 Umbrella Clothesline Dryer:

No trouble to open it or use it. The main pipe that goes into the ground is a much wider diameter than other dryers I've had. I thought this one for the price was all metal but it is not. My last cheaper one had plastic at the junction point and broke like glass. I hope this one lasts longer. It does not stand very tall either, would work fairly well for a short person. It also has a cover that you can pull over the dryer once it is all folded down. I have just used that cover and it works fine. Does not use a spring, only a weight to pull the tarp cover back up and out of the way. The handle to open and close the dryer is really good, making it a simple easy thing to open or close. No pushing hard to open it or pinch your fingers closing it.

                    Customer Q & A

                    2 Questions About This Product
Q: "When you put the sleeve into the ground, is it flush with the ground, or does it stick up above the ground? In other words, when the line is stored elsewhere, can you see the mount sticking up out of the ground?"
                    A:

The socket itself sits flush with the ground.  Only a rain cap sitcks out.  When closed, it is hardly visible.  It is designed such that it sits low enough that a lown mower will not damage it.

                    Q: "

What is the diameter of the pole?

A: The pole has a diameter of 2"
