I found this to be a nice porch swing kit made from oak lumber. It requires sanding and finishing. I finished mine with 3 coats of marine spar varnish. I also added some 1-1/4 inch long wood screws in key locations to solidify the frame - rather than relying only on the manufacturer's staples. I've hung mine from a shady tree in the back yard. This is a good product considering the price.

Dunno maybe its me but this swing seems poorly assembled.. For [$] bucks I didnt expect a family heirloom but alittle glue in the joints and maybe a screw or two would of impressed me. This is not a bad swing it just needs to be made better. I pulled apart the joints and added exterior glue and brass screws which should make this last along time. Using a brad nailer to assemble a swing that is rated for this weight, just wont last assembled the way it comes out of the box..Plus side is I couldnt of bought the wood and hardware for less than I paid for the swing. Just be prepared to do alittle work on it if you want it to last and alot of sanding before putting on an exterior finish.

Comments about Beecham Oak Diamondback Porch Swing:

I like the swing. I purchased the 5' version. We built an arbor out of cedar and the swing hangs there. The only issue that I have is that the lattice we built for the arbor is more substantial that the oak on the sear or back. Other than that, it was definitely worth the money. I also ordered the "comfort" hanger set to go with and am very glad I did. They are terrific.

Comments about Beecham Oak Diamondback Porch Swing:

I am pleased with my swing. It is comfortable except for the board on the front of the seat which bothers my legs. I have had 2 swings before and neither one had that board there. For the price, I am pleased.

I just got the swing together so I cannot properly assess the pros yet.

Comments about Beecham Oak Diamondback Porch Swing:

This swing arrived quickly and was easily assembled. One problem was the back hole where the chains go through the arm rest are too far foward. Instead of the chain going down the back of the arm support it has to go down the front of it. The swing works regardless- it's just not as the picture represented.
