My wife and I were in the market for a fire pit. realizing that most gas/LP pits were $1000 or more we found this model. After ordering it online on Labor Day we [...]hopped to it and had it together in an hour-and-a-half. Not much to assembly... a screw driver and an allen wrench (that's all) I figure if it takes no time at all to assemble, it must be cheesy cheep. Trust me, this is well built, and could cause some difficulty in assembly. One of my (little) concerns with this fire pit was hiding the white LP tank underneath... well, to my surprise they included a black cover that snuggly fits over your tank and it virtually disappears. (nice touch) it easily lights... and after about a minute the blue flames turn into a natural yellow campfire without the smoke and mess. Yes, you can sit anywhere without getting smoke blown in your eyes. And as for the heat... last night it was 45 degrees here and my wife and I sat with our feet up by the fire and found it totally comfortable. By the way, my Martin D-41 sounded pretty sweet as well as I played guitar for over an hour. The Fire is mesmerizing... wonderful product, we want to buy our in-laws one... still might. And yes, it's true...Happy wife, happy life :)

While it is a pretty piece, an assembly that I assessed to be 45min ended up at 2+ hours!! REALLY look closely at the pictures in the instructions. There are VERY few descriptive words to help. I had struggled to do steps 1-3 THEN found that I put the burner assembly off by 90 degrees so I had to take things apart and start over! The majority of the assembly uses 10-32 light weight screws and the alignment with the pre-inserted captive nuts was bad. I ended up having to use a hand Phillips screw driver and was not able to align about 20% of the screws. I put things together ALL the time, and this was painful. BUT... it looks great!!

Comments about Uniflame Propane Gas Fire Pit with Handcrafted Tile:

If you are looking for a product to last only 2-3 years this is your product. If you expect to have this product for several years you should pass. After a few years the flame shot out the sides under the pit towards the controls and tank. The paint chipped blistered and broke down
An expensive item like this should last more than 2-3 years.

Comments about Uniflame Propane Gas Fire Pit with Handcrafted Tile:

I read many reviews of this gas fire pit and was hesitant to purchase it because many of them indicated that it was difficult to put together and to make sure there were extra hands on deck for assistance. Well, I managed to put the entire fire pit together, all by myself, in approximately 2.5 hours. Each piece fit together easily and my biggest difficulty was aligning some of the screws and holes, but I attributed that to the bumpy grassy area. Once it was on an even and level surface everything aligned nicely. It does not give off the same level of heat as an authentic wood fire pit, but you can't beat the convenience of this fire it. When you're done you just turn it off. No need to worry about burning embers or smoldering logs. Love it!!

Assembly was a little tricky but once we figured it out it went together quickly. A ratcheting Allen wrench would have helped. Only had a couple weeks and had several enjoyable fires and roasted marshmallows too.

Comments about Uniflame Propane Gas Fire Pit with Handcrafted Tile:

After looking at several different outdoor fireplaces and reading all the reviews, I am so happy I chose this one! It is VERY sturdy and looks elegant. I was concerned about the other reviews saying that it was difficult to assemble. Thankfully, after getting it from the driveway to our pool area (it's a hefty 160 lbs!), our handyman friend was able to assemble it in about 2 hours. And it looks amazing! We've already gotten several compliments. I would highly recommend it.

Have had this on our back deck for maybe 3 yrs. Assy not bad, heat fair, but looked good. Tiles started cracking within a year. Metal rotting out, not only where the lava rocks are situated but also at the base/underneath which pretty much never gets wet. we "re-cemented" the tiles twice, hoping to get another few yrs out of it., but there is no way to replace burner unit. Disappointed that an "outdoor fire pit" would rot so easily. DEFINITELY NOT weatherproof

Comments about Uniflame Propane Gas Fire Pit with Handcrafted Tile:

I really like the fire pit that I purchased. Assembly was a little time consuming and a bit cumbersome. Instructions could be just a bit clearer in some areas. Also had a few issues with screw holes not lining up properly. Mfg. needs to make sure that everything lines up exactly as it should. We were unable to put in a total of 3 screws due to this problem. However, even with that being the case the pit is very sturdy and I have no worries that it will not last for a very long time.

The counter is very big and can easily handle small plates and cups. When lit at night it looks high-end and the flame is perfect. For the price it was what I expected.

The Uniflame fire pit is a nice addition to our patio! Sturdy construction, adequate flame and heat output are what I was looking for. The tile top is a bit colorful and would rather have all earth tone squares. Assembly took a little over an hour and instructions leave a bit to be desired with only pictures to go by. I feel it is well worth the money spent!
