the mantle was damaged before shipping there was a notch right on the front of the mantle (which can be repaired but really don't think I should have to repair something newly bought)
The damaged area was deep inside the packaging so it did not happen during transit. Rather it was packed in a damaged fashion....would not buy something like this again from this company

Was worried about buying something of this magnitude on line. HOWEVER, am so happy to report that this was everything that I expected...and MORE! and at a third of the price! The larger size we needed was only available in unfinished...would highly recommend the finished piece as well just based on the quality of our unfinished version. THANK YOU!

The product came quickly and packaged well, I am very impressed with it and have gotten alot of complements on it. Buying something like this on the internet was tough I like to see thing's when I get them but I have to say this was a good experence. It is very well made and if you can read a ruler you will have no problem installing it. I would recommend this product and will use it again.
