I was in the market for an affordable rocking chair. Naturally I went onto Rockingchairs.com and found this product. It seemed to be exactly what I was looking for: nice looking, "easy" to assemble, inexpensive. [...]But the assembly was a PAIN!!!! I did not know that I would need a drill, sandpaper, wood glue, a rubber mallet, and other tools that I simply did not have. Luckily my boyfriend's friend DID have these tools, so we were able to put the chairs together...but it took FOREVER. And it was extremely messy. there is a ton of sanding required, and one of the chairs has already broken. I am sure if you are willing to put hours upon hours of time and work into assembling these chairs, they can be great, but for us they are a waste of money. Now I need to go spend even more money for chairs that actually stay together. The description of the assembly of these things is totally inaccurate and should really be clarified.

We decided to add these rocking chairs to our front-porch and are very pleased with them. The only thing I could "criticize" is, that the back rest could be a little bit higher, but then, I am very tall.

Love it.. Hubby put it together with no problems.. It's comfortable and looks great.. Have one tiny little spot of paint missing on the side of a surporting slate..Looks great in my room with the rest of the room.

I had to do a little work on the arm rests . The ends needed shaved a little extra and the one hole on the under side of one of one arm rest was out of position i had to move it about 1/4 of an inch to get it to fit the dowel rod. Other than that it went together fairley easily. Although I used Gorilla glue rather than the wood glue provided.
