Comments about RC-121D Warning Star:

LASNY (Lockheed Aircraft Service New York) held the contract to overhaul and modify the RC-121d and the Navy WV-2 (Willy Victor=2. From the late 50's early 60's I worked on these A/C.On full power run-up the A/C would go up on the step. The main landing gear would pivot at the top. First time you felt this was quite a sensation. In 1963 I went to work for TWA who flew the flew the 049 & 1049G Connie. SIMILAR to our model. The time of the JET A/C had come so this beautiful CONNIE was retired.
