The Red Cedar Classic Swing & Stand Set features a kiln-dried, Western Red Cedar swing in your choice of 4- or 5-foot lengths. This swing has been double-dipped in a protective oil stain finish to ensure its lasting good looks. Smooth sanded edges make it nice to the touch, and a contoured seat adds extra comfort. The included stand features a classic A-frame style and supports up to 750 lbs. of weight. The swing will support up to 500 lbs. Hanging chains and hooks are included.

I purchased this swing for my front porch. It is perfect for the location and was easy to assemble. The workmanship is excellent. I was so happy with this purchase that, when my front patio was completed, I purchased the glider of the same style expecting the same quality as the swing. I was not disappointed.

I got the impression that the swing is so much in demand (probably because of its relatively low price) that they can’t make them fast enough, so quality suffers. For example, some of the seat slats were awful in appearance. Because of the difference in the wood grain of these slats, the harder grain absorbed less stain which resulted in them looking like they have zebra stripes in two very different shades of brown painted on them. And the person who assembled the back put the gaudy-looking things on the seatback where everyone would be sure to see them. I unscrewed them and put them on the seat bottom toward the back where they would not be so prominently in view. While doing this, I discovered that not enough brass screws had been installed to secure the slats, so I substituted sheetrock screws in place of the missing ones.

Bought this swing as a mother's day gift and it was exactly what we needed. Perfect size, color, and look. feels like really good quality hard wood. Looks great on my mother's back patio. Easy to put together, and a good, appropriate price.
There was a deal on shipping and we were supposed to get the swing the next day after ordering for only $2.99 shipping charge, but it didn't arrive till the second day after- I gave 5 stars because for a 4 ft swing, I think this is still really good.

Its very attractive, but when assembled this swing looks like a "junior" model. I bought the 5' model to replace my old 5' cypress swing, but this new one has been downsized, and is only 4'6" wide, and the back height and seat depth are also considerably shorter than a full size 5' swing. The quality is fine, and as I said it is attractive, just smaller than expected. Sort of like getting a love seat when you thought you bought a sofa.

The swing is beautiful. It arrived promptly, and my husband and I were pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to assemble. My husband has long legs and found the seat was a bit short, but admits it's more than adequate for sitting on under the big tree.

The first bench arrived with one slat in the seat broken on the edge. Customer service arranged for a new bench to be shipped out immediately. It arrived 3 days later and was undamaged. It was an easy process to print out the return shipping label via FedEx at no cost to me.
There was one small problem with the A-Frame hardware when it arrived 2 weeks later due to back order. One of the 1/4 x 4 1/2 inch hex bolts arrived unthreaded. It would have stopped our A-frame assembly had I not had a tap & die set and threaded the bolt myself. They need a little better QC final inspection.
