What We Like About The Kettle Moraine Hardwoods Ross Rustic Fireplace Mantel Shelf
Carved from the side of the majestic North American Butternut, the Kettle Moraine Hardwoods Ross Rustic Fireplace Mantel Shelf has a front that bows inward to give this fireplace mantel a broad appearance. Butternut wood is closely related to American Black Walnut but with a coarser grain and lighter, more golden color. The accent of the natural bark and the veins and swirls of the butternut wood will add beauty to your hearth.
Please note: Mantel shelf will vary slightly from the one shown. Because each log is different, each mantel has its own unique grain and characteristics. These differences do not affect the structural strength of the mantel.

Comments about Kettle Moraine Hardwoods Ross Rustic Fireplace Mantel Shelf:
We added this mantle to a fireplace with stone veneer up to the ceiling. Also mounted new TV above the mantle at the same time. Our carpenter cut a hole in the stone for the TV mount, then climbed through the hole back inside on top of where the firebox is. He then used block bracing and multiple 7" lag screws to attach the mantle into a slot that had been cut in the stone to accept the mantle.
