The Martin Universal Design Royal Elm Table is crafted of solid red elm that is finished in water-resistant tung oil. Its 30L x 42W-inch melamine top offers plenty of surface area for drawing. This table is hand-crafted to be a beautiful piece of highly functional furniture. The Royal Elm Table offers fully adjustable height and tilt to provide for the needs of the professional, student, and hobbyist. Adjust the height from 37.5 to a full 45 inches with several points in between. The tilt adjusts from 45 to 90 degrees, allowing you to find the perfect ergonomic position best for each project.
About Martin Universal Design, Inc.

I needed an inexpensive drawing table for the studio and this seemed like the right furniture at the right price and with a free shipping promotion it was an easy decision. I expected it to take weeks to arrive but instead arrived via FEDEX in just a few days. Sadly, the box had arrived with one edge kicked in and the edge of the table top damaged. This could have been avoided if the manufacturer had used more sytrofoam or heavy cardboard to protect the table top edges. Still, I was sufficiently impressed with its overall sturdiness and finish that I decided to keep it rather than have it returned.

The wooden parts were wrapped with a thin foam plastic but weren't secured against shifting in the box. They banged against each other during shipment and have numerous dings and dents, with some dents on surfaces that are highly visible.
Also, some pieces are not pre-drilled with pilot holes, which will require me to line up pieces and drill them myself. The missing pilot holes MUST be drilled not only for accurate alignment of pieces but to prevent the wood from cracking and splitting when driving the screws into the wood.

Plan to use this table for various art projects. Table is simple. modern and attractive. I chose it for the natural elm wood. Table height is higher than expected. You will need a higher office chair or stool to go with this table.
Service and delivery comments:
Delivery was fast. The packaging was poor. Box arrived partly open. The tabletop was damaged
(corners were dented and chipped). Part of the base was not pre-drilled so we had to drill our own holes, and there weren't the right number of screws. For the price, I am disappointed in the lack of attention to detail in packaging and shipping. Will be trying to get a replacement top. I am not recommending this product due to these issues.
