Comments about RTA Home and Office AVM-005 Glass and Aluminum Component Audio Rack:

This wasn't too challenging to put together, although I needed a long phillips-head screwdriver instead of the allen key that was included. Appearance is nice but the finish on the metal tube legs is kind-of cheap looking. The tubes are sharp, too; I cut myself before realizing how rough the edges were.
My biggest complaint is actually about the design. The back support is two pieces of some kind of particle board held together by two 3-inch screws. The screws are half in the top piece, half in the bottom piece, a sort-of "hinge", as it were. It's quite unstable. I replaced the screws with 3/8" dowel rods, which helped a little. Also, the rear of each shelf is attached attached to the upper back piece with a tiny clamp, so if there's any movement, the shelves twist out of position and drop. If I want to move it, it will probably have to be disassembled.
I considered returning this stand, but the box arrived in such bad shape that it couldn't be re-used. I don't know how the glass shelves survived the abuse.
