Developed in the late 1970s, the S-76 Spirit is one of Sikorsky's most successful recent civilian helicopter designs, with hundreds of models built in a wide range of variants and upgrades. The Spirit flies primarily passenger transport missions, but it is utilized by several civil and military operators as a search and rescue craft and an air ambulance. One is even utilized by the Queen of England's personal helicopter fleet as a VIP transport.
Modeled here is the S-76C+ variant, a fairly successful version with upgraded turboshafts that has since been surpassed by the C++ (with similar but newer turboshafts). This versatile helicopter has been replicated here in a handcrafted resin model and precisely painted to make it a prime choice for any collector.
