The wood quality isn't bad. It's wood, which is saying something these days when you pay this kind of price. But it's put together with staples, and not very well put together at that. It took me two hours to remove the back, which had been stapled on crooked, remove all the staples and reattach it correctly. The finish is a single coat of varnish. I suppose you could say it's "rustic" but it's barely finished. The slides are plastic and again are simply stapled to the drawers.It does come fully assembled, but that may be because they don't want you to see all the staples holding it together. In sum, it looks much better than it really is.

It was well packed and fully assembled when it arrived. It looks just like it is pictured. It would be good in a boy's bedroom or as I use it, for storage. The drawer space isn't big, but the size was just right for a storage area and I was able to put enough away in the 3 drawers. Yes, I would purchase the same item again.
