I use this cage for two parakeets. The best advantage of this cage is that it can be assembled in to half of its size by using only top section assembly parts. In future, if you need, of course, full cage can be assembled.
I noticed few comments regarding the assembly instructions, but if you check/observe each and every part for a while spending 10-15 minutes without jumping to assembly tools, it is nothing. I did it by my self, but second person's help would make it much easier.

Comments about Prevue Pet Products Sera Flight Cage-Large F040:
I was so excited to get this cage for my canaries that I met the FedEx delivery man on my porch! I opened the box, found all the cage parts, and checked to be certain they were all there. They were.
Before ordering this cage, I read dozens of reviews. I knew most were pleased but I was more interested in the negatives so I'd know what to watch for. Those were actually most helpful.
Just as the reviews noted, the actual parts were not marked although the instructions did give a pretty good description of each of them, along with a few pictures. I didn't have any trouble at all with the screw holes lining up or with the threads on them, as some reviews stated. I simply inserted screws into each of the holes to clear away any slag first, then I removed them and began assembly.
I separated all the pieces first and found a couple that were interchangeable. It was good to know that later on. It's also important to remember that around the center of the cage where the top, sides, and bottom pieces meet, the screw will need to go through all three pieces.
What I did find extremely helpful was constantly referring back to the enlarged picture on this website. It showed the parts in color and more clearly. My suggestions when assembling this cage are to pay attention, making sure the doors open toward the OUTSIDE, the section the tray slides into has the 'stopper' triangle toward the back to keep the tray from being pushed all the way through, and take your time.
I found that laying the cage on its back and letting the sides lean against a chair made my solo assembly much easier. Don't become anxious if things don't fit immediately. They will if you take your time and alternate tightening a screw with easing the wires into the holes. Tighten and ease.
The smaller 'food' doors are spring loaded so I just secured them with 'dollar store' clothespins, and I was pleasantly surprised to find there were 3 'food' doors on the two opposite sides of the cage: 2 on the upper half and 1 on the lower half (6 in total). It was extremely easy to access the food and water dishes, and the classy finish compliments my brightly colored birds.
Assembly was actually much easier than I thought it would be based on the reviews. If I can do it, anyone can. You see, I'm 62, blonde, and female! lol
Once it was put together, it was even large enough for me to add actual tree branches instead of using all the wooden perches included. That way my canaries can use all the muscles in their legs naturally with angled branches.
All in all, I love this cage almost as much as my family of canaries do! They've been singing and flying all day. :) The size is fantastic, the casters are so smooth I can move it with just one finger, it's sturdy and solid, and cleaning this one cage will be so much nicer than the four cages my birds were in previously. The description says its black wrought iron but it's more like oiled bronze; VERY impressive! This was most definitely a smart buy! By the way - I received it in only 3 days! Great service, too.
