Comments about All Other Brands|Homelegance Homelegance Barrister Wood Bookcase with Sliding Glass Door - Espresso:
We weren't quite sure what to expect in terms of overall quality when we ordered this piece, but result was definitely a pleasant surprise.
The shelf arrived on a pallet in 3 boxes almost fully assembled - we simply had to stack the 3 tiers on top of each other like a wedding cake, screw them together, and install the doors - total time was about 30 minutes. The individual components were surprisingly light despite being solid, and were easily moved around by two people using only one hand each.
When assembled, the look of the unit was exactly as pictured and we found no dings or problems with the finish despite a bit of abuse to the packaging. When filled with a variety of books, it appeared to have no problems at all with the weight of the contents.
There was no wiggle or wobble to the unit at all, and the use of wood veneer was limited to the backing from what we could see - the rest appears to be solid. I would call this a great midrange piece that looks perfect in our library. I'm not sure that it's heirloom quality in terms of durability, but it's definitely something that will last *our* lifetime.
