Comments about Snoozer Overstuff Luxury Microsuede Pet Sofa:
This product is well made, looks great, and therefore doesn't need to be stored. It is now about 3 weeks old. Some of the things not mention about the product is the removable pillow for the cushion which can be taken out and flipped over to change to the alternate color.
While the cover to the actual "couch" does zip off, the cover to the pillow doesn't. Since our dog Seven is 120 pounds, we purchased the extra large bed. My concern is that since it is so big, the pillow won't fit into the washer. You may have better luck with a smaller size bed but I would also be concerned about how well it would dry. The pillow is very thick.
The product boasts "Odor Adios" which I think will be great, but I haven't seen the pad it's supposed to have and there is no way of knowing if they put it in the pillow that 7 is actually sleeping on. Time will tell.
The dog hair does vacuum up quite easily, and the pillow can be flipped to match 7's hair color so it's not so noticeable.
Our lab seems to like his new bed, however I think the middle of the pillow seems to be matting down some where most of his body sleeps. Last night I heard him scratching his bed and trying to fluff it up. (He never did that with his old beds that had the foam in them until they were pretty old and he was about ready for a new one.) He has had pillows before and never cared much for them. He usually scratches or chews holes in them. This may not have been a good choice for our pampered pooch given the pillow history, but I think most dogs will love it. It is so soft and thick that he almost "sinks" into it, which also keeps him warmer than he is used to when he sleeps. Sometimes he has to get up and lay on the floor to cool off. Most dogs love to be warm, but 7 is overweight and heats easily.
I think for the most part this is a great bed, but you also have to know your dog. Seven has been used to the foam beds and likes them a lot. Pillows not so much. I think his next bed will be an orthopedic bed with memory foam, but we will use this one until he decides otherwise.
