Very easy to assemble; can't beat the price. Sturdy construction. The only complaint I have is the light color will show dirt too easily--I'm using it at a makeup vanity table and you're always doing something that would stain it. Otherwise, what's not to like?

Exactly as described, I believe the frame is aluminum as it is not that heavy, but verry strong.
