I have had this machine for about 4 months now and am glad that I purchased it. I couldn't decide between a recumbent bike and a rower, so this was the perfect compromise. As others have said, it's not a perfect (or typical) rower. But it suits my needs since I don't go out rowing in an actual boat EVER. I just wanted to be able to get a full-body workout, and it serves that purpose nicely. I use the bike more than the rower, and I started on the lowest setting. I was incredibly out of shape and will tell you that the lowest setting BURNED my thighs (which was good). I still haven't made it past level 4, and I only do that for a short portion of my workout. One caveat: I can't imagine anyone under 5'3" being able to use the bike portion of this machine. I am 5'5", although I have a long torso and short-ish legs (my legs are probably more typical of someone 5'3"-5'4"), and at the closest seat setting, my feet JUST reach the bike pedals. (The rower foot holders are closer to the seat so you could maybe still use that portion.) My husband and I put it together in exactly 1 hour. It was quite easy, but I would suggest two people if possible.

So far, so good

By ValB

from Ottawa, ON, Canada

Comments about Stamina Avari Conversion II Rower/Recumbent Exercise Bike:

We had to return the first one as the box was very damaged and what we could see of the rower from the holes in the box was dinged and scratched. The second rower showed up, although there is a scratch on it, we are otherwise very satisfied. Good machine, a bit pricey, but the two-in-one is great. We have only had it for a few weeks though.

Comments about Stamina Avari Conversion II Rower/Recumbent Exercise Bike:

Seat is uncomfortable and tend to slide a bit. Electronics are pathetic, pulse shorts our and resets other electronics. Only solution was to disconnect

I received this as a Christmas gift from my wife, began using it right away and within one month I have lost over 25 lbs and feel great. I would suggest or recommend this bike to anyone. You can go at your own pace or increase the intensity.

I was skeptical when purchasing this rower but it has been a very good choice. Pretty stable considering my size. As I am losing some weight from the usage I have come to enjoy it more and more. Very good product.

Feel the rhythm

By dimpydoo

from Colorado, United States

Comments about Stamina Avari Conversion II Rower/Recumbent Exercise Bike:

I love the rower! It's all about how much you put into it. Imagine yourself on crew, pulling the oars in rhythm. Let your own inertia work for you. It's smoother and you can feel it everywhere.

Pros

  • Easy To Use
  • Operates Smoothly
  • Quiet
  • Sturdy Base

Cons

    Best Uses

    • Low Impact Exercise

Comments about Stamina Avari Conversion II Rower/Recumbent Exercise Bike:

Overall, I am very pleased with my purchase of the bike/rower. Both my wife and I need low impact exercise and this is just what the doctor ordered!
The shipment arrived even before I expected. I am not the most mechanically inclined person, so I was dreading the assembly process. I was pleasantly surprised as to how thorough and well illustrated the instructions were. Assembly was far easier than I thought it would be.
I am impressed with the sturdy construction and feel the machine will last a good while. I would have rated this product even higher, but we just have only just started using it. So far it is performing as advertised!
