Pretty comfortable when sitting all the way back and fully vertical the only downfall is the very top piece is wood with no padding. This is a minor issue sitting straight up but if you scoot down to slouch at all the thing is right on the back of my skull, and can only sit that way for about 5 min. I intend to put a self made head pillow and it will be perfect. I am 5'10" so that should tell you what you need to know. If you were any shorter you may not have my issue when you scoot down. 5'8" or less would probably be ideal. The price makes it worth having to modify, it was the highest backed cheaper model I could find on various sights without garbage installed speakers. Basically best bang for the buck [$].
