Our girls needed big girl beds and since we love our platform bed we decided to get them ones as well. It's perfect for them. We don't have to worry about them falling out of bed in the middle of the night. It's easy for them to get in and out of. Very easy to put together and extremely sturdy. I'm very pleased with the purchase.

The platform that the mattress lays on was 4" winder than the Serta mattress we bought to go on the bed. The platform consisted of 3 boards - my husband ended up not using the middle smaller piece so that there not so much base sticking out from the mattress. Not for sure how/why this happened. Twin mattresses are a standard size and it doesn't make sense to me that the base would be so much bigger than what it needed to be.
Otherwise, a great first "big girl" bed for my 4 year old. I love the fact that she is not far off the ground, in case she does roll of the bed.
I also like the fact that this setup is unique - I've never seen anything like it before.
