After back surgery a few years ago, I have been looking for a comfortable chair, not too big, but with good back support to put in the Living Room to watch TV and read. (No grandkids yet) I sat in a glider in a local store which was nice, but really wanted a reclining feature, which led me to look online. And this is "it". This is not as big as a leather recliner and the gliding feature is soooo nice.
I was nervous about ordering it sight unseen online but the measurements worked so I took a deep breath and ordered it. No worries! It is gorgeous. It took my husband about 1/2 hour to assemble (the ottoman comes fully assembled). Gliding is smooth and quiet. Reclining mechanism is easy to use (that lever is on the right) and the lever on the left locks the chair so it won't glide.
Also, I am tall (5'10) so i wanted a chair with a high enough back that I could rest my head on the back of the chair. The height of this gives me plenty of room to lean back. The ottoman is a bit lower than the seat height which makes it quite comfortable for putting your legs up to rest. Both glide very smoothly and quietly.
The wood is a deep cherry color. Not too much red in it. It looks very striking with the off-white microfiber (which I am going to spray with Scotchguard since I'm messy.) The picture online is an accurate representation of the color.
I wish they offered an option for a leather-covered cushion.

While I loved my glider initially- the higher back, side pockets, recline feature- I am extremely disapointed to report that it broke at the base after 9 months of use. I contacted Hayneedle who stood by their 1 month return policy and told me to contact the manufacturer. The manufacturer (Storkcraft) stated that they would not help me because the 1 yr warranty was up (starts date of purchase). I purchased this several months ahead of time before the birth of my son. It was not used until he was born and so after only 9 months of use, the warranty was already up as it started date of purchase. Nevermind that this clearly constituted a quality issue. The base leg just cracked straight through (yes, as I was sat on it rocking baby.) I do not recommend this product and I am disapointed in the customer service for both Hayneedle and Storkcraft. I am pregnant with my second child and will not purchase a storkcraft product again.

It came on time on the date you said I would. It took about 20 to 25 minutes to assemble and the instructions were very clear. I have Allen wrenches, but it was nice to have the one tool needed included. It feels great, looks great, and it very relaxing. I am a big guy, 6 feet, 220 lbs. and it is excellent support.

We love this glider. It was so similar to one we almost bought at a local furniture store for twice the cost. We liked this one better because it reclined which was hard to find.
It came partially put together so finishing it was pretty easy for my husband. It probably took him 20 minutes to assemble.

The chair arrived within 3 days of ordering and we just put it together. While other Storkcraft items don't get great reviews because of quality, this one is different. It's very sturdy and comfortable. VERY simple to put together. We like being able to both recline and glide at the same time, but also to be able to lock both features in place for stability. My husband and I are both over 6' and it's a nice size for us (just don't expect it to be super tall in the back, I can still rest my head back but barely). FYI, our baby arrives in about 5 weeks so we haven't used the chair extensively yet. I can't review it's longevity. Otherwise I highly recommend!

I am 66yrs old greatgrandmother, I put the chair together while watching the basketball game. I looks just like the picture. Very comfortable I bought it for my greatgrand baby put I find myself falling asleep in it everynight! Very pleased with this glider.
