Love the table, now that it's set up. It was easy to unpack, and the items were all clearly labled. I love that. But the diagrams were confusing, sometimes showing the back side of the piece, sometimes the front, but I couldn't figure out the drawing conventions to tell them apart. The locking cams were difficult to operate and I ended up splitting the laminate in many places. I still have no idea what they intended for the drawer - it just doesn't seem like it would work. My husband ended up buying some additional cams and attaching it that way. But I love how it folds up, if needed. I love the storage area for my machine - I don't need one that's mechanical. I love the additional fold out table for the machine. I ADORE the gridded top! So in the end, after setup, very happy.

I was not expecting a fabulous piece of furniture for the price, but this quilting table still is way overpriced for what you get. First, the instructions for putting it together are terrible. Were I not experienced at putting furniture together I would have given up. The instructions are mostly drawings, and very small, unclear drawings at that. (Good drawings can be better than worded instructions some times.) The grammar used with the few written instructions is so bad that it often is difficult to understand exactly what goes where. Second, the little wooden pegs used in several spots are too short to hold a shelf securely and are made of what feels like balsa wood. Two snapped in half while I was trying to assemble the shelves and then I had to get the pieces out without enlarging the hole. My husband cut some metal screws to replace the wooden pegs and they are much stronger. But, we should not have had to do that. Third, the white finish is very thin and the table came with the finish rubbed off along the edges and corners of pieces. And last, the design and instructions do not secure the various pieces together tightly enough so that there are gaps where there should not be, even after tightening all screws as tightly as possible. Once this table is in place, I would not move it unless absolutely necessary. I would not recommend this table. If I had it to do over, I would buy a more expensive, but hopefully more soundly made table.

Comments about Sullivans Quilter's Table:

Other reviews talk about the time it takes to put this together. They aren't lies. The directions say 50 minutes. It took me four times that with help. It wasn't difficult just time-consuming. I haven't used the table, but I am pleased with the design. It takes up very little floor space when not in use, but has plenty of surface area for working when open.

    Comments about Sullivans Quilter's Table:

I grew up on a farm, learn common sense. I put it together in less than 3 hours. Lay everything out, in order by the instructions, use a screw gun with #1 Phillips, long bit. Have someone hold things when you need it. I put it together in my nightgown. Don't push the lock grommets too hard, one pushed through, but gorilla glue fixed that. Looks great and makes sewing so much easier.

      Comments about Sullivans Quilter's Table:

Once it arrived and we got it put together, I realized it wasn't quite what I was actually shopping for, but I am still very happy with it. I had thought it would be taller than a regular sewing desk but it's not. I think in the long run it will actually serve me better. I will be able to move it around and utilize it for more than just measuring and cutting fabric; it will actually come more in handy than my original plans. I am very happy with the purchase and the construction is sturdy. I expect this table will last me a good long while. So far (I've only had it for a few days) it has already proven to be extremely useful!
