I was skeptical about ordering a futon online, but am so glad I chose this one. The Sunrise futon is super easy to put together, very sturdy, and comes with a 10 year manufacturer's warranty. I got the queen size natural color (without drawers) and it looks awesome in my apartment! ....On other websites I seen that hayneedle had some not-so-good reviews and was even more skeptical about ordering, but gave them the benefit of a doubt and they totally came through. Their customer service was outstanding and the futon arrived exactly on time and in good condition. I am a very satisfied customer and definitely recommend this futon!

This is a solid piece of furniture. Queen size arrived in two boxes. One box contained the two arm pieces completely assembled, along with a hex key and four thumb nuts, screws, and wood trim to cover the screws. The other box contained (5) pieces: the two bottom rails, the assebled futon bottom, the assembled futon back, and a strip of wood called the "strong back" that needs to be screwed to the bottom of the back for added strength (those 4 screws and another allen key included). Thats it! Simple assembly - good instructions and even videos on their website to help. Nothing flimsy about this futon...
Oh and Hayneedle had the best price, customer service and their shipper were excellent to work with as well!
My only con is the volume of packing material that needed to be broken down and disposed of. Took me more time to clean all that up then it did to assemble the futon.

It is a very nice futon but I have two issues with it which prevented me from giving it a fourth star.
One is that it is not made in the USA, however is listed on several Web sites as such (not Hayneedle, which doesn't state where it is manufactured). It is made in Malaysia. Had I known this, I would not have bought it.
The second problem is that it arrived damaged (small wonder, coming all the way from Malaysia!). The box had a large hole in it, which had been taped over so I didn't notice it, and the wood was scratched. Fortunately the scratches are on the back of the futon. This could have been prevented if it had been better protected inside the box, instead of just placed in the box with wood exposed.
It is moderately easy to assemble. And it is nice looking. Note also that the drawers are not part of the futon, they just roll underneath it, which was a surprise to me, considering the photos. However they do look like they are part of the futon once they are properly placed.
