I started pricing out materials to build my son a sandbox, and realized I could save myself some time and buy this one instead. This sandbox ranks very high in the "bang for the buck" department. Assembly was very straightforward, though be careful driving the screws in with an impact driver, because the cedar is pretty soft and easy to strip if you're not watching it. I used a staple gun to attach the provided material to the bottom of the box to keep the weeds from growing under it. The provided cover is a little flimsy feeling, but fits really well, and does keep the water out. I recommend keeping a tall bucket in the sandbox to make the cover act like a little tent to keep the water from pooling. My son absolutely loves playing in this, and it's the perfect size for a couple of kids. The little bench on the side is amazing, and it's great for a kid, though I wouldn't count on it lasting if a heavy adult sat on it.

As advertised, the sandbox was very easy to assemble; however, it was very small. Our two grandsons would not fit in at the same time (not with sand toys too).

This product was easy to assemble though the directions were a little confusing. I love that it has the "bench" around the top for my little one to sit on while playing. The sandbox is big enough for more than one child to play in it at once. This product is everything that I was looking for & a great price!

This is a great sandbox for littlier kids. It was easy to assemble but the boards did not fit together tightly enough and left gaps between the boards, nothing that a few extra screws did not fix. As long as you know that you will need extra screws before you start the assembly it will be a snap. It's really light weight so you can move it rather easily. The cover is an added bonus and fits nicely. My 3 year old loves it!

This sandbox meets all our expectations and once together, has received a great endorsement from my grandson. In terms of design and construction, it is a great design, everything works well, but it could be a little sturdier. While assembling it, I found that the last few boards to put together did not fit exactly and when placing some stress to get them together, two of the fitted slots broke off of two boards. This had no effect on the overall connection and the sandbox still fits, holds, and works. The other comment in regard to strength is that the exterior boards around the top for seats, are adequate but only have two screws at each end of each board (4 total). When the kids want to walk around on these seats, they tend to look like like they could come loose or break, but have not yet and are working well right now. Should tis happen, I believe that this could be reinforced with some additional boards placed under them all the way around.

One point of advice is not to fill the sandbox too full with sand. I filled it with enough sand to bring it completely up to the sides and have a mound in the center. Later I removed some sand so that there was open space around the edge of the sandbox so the kids could sit on the exterior and put their feet inside. When it was full of sand, they were climbing around and falling over the sides and out of the sandbox.

Overall, this is a good product, the kids love it, adults can gather around and play with them or just watch, and it fits in many places. The cover is great, very easy to use, and solves a perennial problem of unwanted nighttime visitors.
