Top piece had a small scratch bu fortunately it faces the wall. The lack of cord storage under the bookshelf is not good. The thickness of the backer board is much better than similar products.

The instruction manual could have been a bit clearer in a couple steps, that resulted in me needing to re-screw a couple parts at the end; but overall I'm very happy with 'The Hampton' as an entry-level entertainment center. It looks nice, feels sturdy, and holds everything.
