Description
The Troutman Jumbo Classic Albany rocking chair is as great as the regular sized chair but it's built for those of us who want a little more room. This JUMBO version is a full four feet tall and is still handcrafted from solid oak, by skilled artisans in the USA who take quality and relaxation seriously. The design features a perfect pitch (the angle of the seat to the ground when empty and at rest), and a double scooped contoured seat.Construction uses NO GLUE or harsh chemicals. Instead, the tried and true Swelled Joint technique keeps everything in place, and the joints actually get tighter with time. The notched dowels make them nearly impossible to remove. If the chair experiences some weather, the stainless steel nails will not rust. Experience this fabulous rocker for yourself- no shortcuts are taken in the craftsmanship of this rocking chair. Simple assembly required.
Troutman Chair Co., established in 1924, uses sturdy oak stock from local loggers as they clear land for developing subdivisions, and does not cut trees just to make furniture. The logs are brought to the on-site mills to ensure quality control, and a link to their time-honored way of doing things.

Assembly
Invert rocking chair on a solid surface with padding between surface and the rocking chair. Fit the rocking chair runners onto the tenons at the bottom of the rocker legs. The front of the rocker runner has the tenon hole closest to the end of the rocker runner. Using little force, tap the rocker runner front FIRST and then the back. Repeat front to back until you have a good fit. When the tenon is halfway into the holes in the rocker runner you can use force to get the runners all the way on. Hammer the rocker runners until the tenons are fitted down into the rocking chair runner. Since the runners are made of oak force will not hurt them. After the runners are fitted properly into all of the rocking chair legs use the stainless steel nails provided to attach the runners to the tenons. Turn the rocking chair on its side and hammer the nails from the inside of the rocker runners into the tenon. Pre-drilling the holes may ease runner attachment. PLEASE USE CAUTION WHEN NAILING ONTO PAINTED SURFACES. USE OF SAFETY GLASSES IS RECOMMENDED. PLEASE CALL IF YOU NEED ADDITIONAL ASSISTANCE.
