Finished in non-toxic Mocha, this handsome platform bed is sturdily constructed from Environmentally Preferable Purchasing (EPP)-compliant laminated particle board carrying the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certification. Pair the bed with the optional headboard to nicely round out the upscale look. Please note: This bed does not require a box spring.

I really like the bed and my daughter will enjoy. However, there were so many pieces and a few pieces were chipped when we opened the box (the box looked like it had been damaged while in transit. Called the company (as instructed by Hayneedle) and was received pleasant information from the company.
