The Twin Oaks Green Living Envirope XL Rope Hammock in white is designed for both the environment- and price-conscious. As soft as cotton and durable as polyester, Envirope is hand-woven using post-consumer waste. This polyester Eco-Spun fiber is derived from recycled soda bottles! Envirope is resistant to mildew, mold, and negative effects of weather. The white oak spreader bars are crafted from locally cut second-growth trees sawed and processed in Twin Oaks. Recycled, recyclable, and repairable, this large hammock is truly the perfect ecological gift.

About Twin Oaks Hammocks
Twin Oaks believes quality starts at the beginning – in every fiber of every rope and in every grain of every log. They start with yarn specially chosen for weather-resistance and colorfastness, and twist it into durable rope in all colors of the rainbow.
Twin Oaks' spreader bars begin as locally harvested white oak logs, which they mill and kiln-dry on site for well-seasoned outdoor use. The completed spreaders are hand-brushed with natural linseed oil and air-dried to maintain the beauty of the wood grain.
Macramé harnesses are made by hand, and carefully measured and trimmed so that every hammock is stable and comfortable. Twin Oaks' craftsmen weave each rope hammock, using techniques and equipment designed to be easy on the body and to minimize waste. Finally, at least 40 expertly tied bowline knots complete a hammock that is sturdy and attractive.

This is the nicest hammock I have ever sat in, and the fact that it's made of recycled fibers makes it even better. I can't believe that it's not cotton though, it's incredibly soft and feels wonderful on your skin! Now I am really looking forward to summer and hours of use out of our new envirope hammock! The first hammock shipped to us had a broken wooden bar, [...]. Now it's set up (easily), but the rope is not as comfortable as I'd hoped. We're thinking about putting a blanket on it. Also, when my daughter (5) isn't VERY careful getting off of it, it flips her out right on the metal bar underneath. We've only had it up for a few days, so I'm not sure. The jury is still out, but I'm not as thrilled as I'd hoped I'd immediately be.

Bought this for my husband for father's day two years ago. Dries very quickly. Still looks great, comfortable, and soft. Pillow is a must though. Stand holding up well too. Thanks to the envirorope, you can be good to the environment while enjoying it.

The recycled material is soft and comfortable. It has also stayed bright white.
But the weave is too sparse so that huge gaps tend to form (over 6 inches). Don't get this if you have kids - strangulation appears to be a serious hazard. You have to be careful getting on so you don't put your arm through a gap. Once you are on, it's quite comfortable.
I'm fairly disappointed in this hammock due to these gaps. It's too bad since the recycled material is very good.

I love this hammock! This is the first hammock we have ever bought and we are very pleased with it. My husband was skeptical at first, he didn't think it would be very soft, but he changed his mind quickly! Now we "accomplish nothing" on a regular basis!
