It features top-quality materials like white oak spreader bars finished in natural linseed oil and super-durable SilkSpun rope. The stand is available in our exclusive wood grain finishes as well as the 5 best-selling solid color finishes - you choose. This rope is the same material found on other highly popular hammock brands like Pawley's Island. Solution-dying means it will not fade in the sun and the materials are mold- and mildew-resistant. This hammock lets you enjoy the comfort of cotton and the strength of polyester.
The Material:
This SilkSpun rope was created to simulate both the strength and the softness of silk. It is twisted from a fiber especially manufactured for the outdoor market. This yarn has hundreds more filaments per inch than our standard rope, creating a denser, smoother result. Solution-dying results in longer-lasting, fade-resistant rope. The silky smooth SilkSpun product has an unsurpassed weather endurance and is mildew- and mold-resistant.
The Construction:
The traditional-style rope hammock has been reconstructed to increase comfort and durability. The body of the SilkSpun hammock features 50% more rows of rope and 50% more stitches per row than standard rope hammocks. This creates a bed with well over twice the standard number of stitches for a much closer weave. The result is added comfort and support.
Available in several versatile finishes, this heavy-duty 14-gauge steel stand is capable of supporting any spreader bar hammock measuring 12 to 15 feet and up to 450 pounds of weight. The powder-coated finish is visually attractive and extremely weather-resistant. It assembles quickly without tools.

Our spreader bars begin as locally-harvested white oak logs, which we mill and kiln-dry on site for well-seasoned outdoor use. The completed spreaders are hand-brushed with natural linseed oil and air-dried to maintain the beauty of the wood grain.
Our macrame harnesses are made by hand, and carefully measured and trimmed so that every hammock we make is stable and comfortable. We weave each rope hammock ourselves, using techniques and equipment designed to be easy on the body and to minimize waste. Finally, at least 40 expertly tied bowline knots complete a hammock that is sturdy and attractive.

I bought this hammock and stand as a birthday gift for my husband, and it's a huge WIN! The hammock is softer than I expected, and the stand was easy to assemble. Both pieces seem quite sturdy. The tie-down straps are a marvelous idea, and the hammock is roomy (it truly IS a three-person hammock).
I was concerned because some reviews on other hammocks noted inordinate stretching, but while this one has stretched (as it's supposed to), we still have several links left on the chain so our bottoms won't hit the middle pipe of the stand even if it stretches quite a bit more.
