The Material:
This SilkSpun rope was created to simulate both the strength and the softness of silk. It is twisted from a fiber especially manufactured for the outdoor market. This yarn has hundreds more filaments per inch than our standard rope, creating a denser, smoother result. Solution-dying results in longer-lasting, fade-resistant rope. The silky smooth, SilkSpun product has an unsurpassed weather endurance and is mildew and mold resistant.
The Construction:
The traditional style rope hammock has been re-constructed to increase comfort and durability. The body of the SilkSpun hammock features 50% more rows of rope and 50% more stitches per row than standard rope hammocks. This creates a bed with well over twice the standard number of stitches for a much closer weave. The result is added comfort and support.

Twin Oaks' spreader bars begin as locally harvested white oak logs, which they mill and kiln-dry on site for well-seasoned outdoor use. The completed spreaders are hand-brushed with natural linseed oil and air-dried to maintain the beauty of the wood grain.
Macramé harnesses are made by hand, and carefully measured and trimmed so that every hammock is stable and comfortable. Twin Oaks' craftsmen weave each rope hammock, using techniques and equipment designed to be easy on the body and to minimize waste. Finally, at least 40 expertly tied bowline knots complete a hammock that is sturdy and attractive.

This model has extra rope to avoid gaps (holes) common in other Hammocks. This Hammock is EXACTLY what I wanted. Size and comfort. I didn't want a hammock that I always had to be pulling my heels out from in between the ropes, yet I did not want a solid fabric hammock.
Highly recommend. Although, I didn't see that I could have gotten the same model in Green until after I ordered the Blue one! Oh well. Love it to much to exchange it.

Stylish, super comfortable, exactly as advertised.
I love that it's so big I can use it as a seat/sofa on my stand.
Really the only thing to be aware of is that it sags more than some rope hammocks as it's more stretchy. I like that, but it meant I put it tighter and higher on my stand.
