Very displeased... Make sure you inspect it well..

Comments about Advance Aqua Tanks Uniquarium Rectangular Aquarium:

I really like the fact that the filtration system is built onto back of system. Of course that means you will need a ideal place to put it with easy access to back. With that said very pleased so far. Quick setup , Purchased to replace smaller tank and the deminsion options were perfect, Considering the fact you are not having to invest in a sump set up it is a great price. I do recommend if you have right spot with access to the back!

Comments about Advance Aqua Tanks Uniquarium Rectangular Aquarium:

              I purchased the 65 gallon Uniquarium (36x18x24)

Pros: Lightweight, VERY easy to set up, looks very nice.

Cons: I would prefer a little more water movement, it is a little too still for my tastes. I added a powerhead to move the water a little bit more, but that takes away from the aesthetics of this aquarium.

Some friendly advice: Make sure to leave room to be able to access the back of the aquarium for media replacement, maintenance etc. Also, make sure to read the instructions on the pump - if you overfill the aquarium, you will lose water movement in the filter compartment, and the bio-balls won't be as effective if they are more submerged.

Overall I would recommend this aquarium, especially for a novice as it is pretty simple.

Comments about Advance Aqua Tanks Uniquarium Rectangular Aquarium:

I purchased a 55 gallon, 36" X 24" X 15" with the acrylic stand and canopy. It looks very good. It's also very light and easy to move into position. The filtration built into the back has plenty of room to customize it for the type of aquarium you are setting up, but it only comes with a couple of sponges, bio balls, and the pump. Since this will be a freshwater tank for me, I'm adding 2 media baskets. The canopy and stand look great, but instead of a door in the stand it has a removable panel. Also, the canopy must be removed for feeding, but it weighs next to nothing so it isn't difficult. Overall, it's a nice setup. It's not 5 stars, but definitely a solid 4.

                  Customer Q & A

                  3 Questions About This Product
Q: "What kind of skimmer can I use on the 65 gallon aqaurium?"
A: For this aquarium, the 17 inch Venturi Skimmer (AAT015) is recommended. This item is designed to fit directly into the rear compartment of the Uniquarium. Because it is internal, the tank can be installed very close to the wall. Also, you won't have to worry about leaking, etc.
Q: "Customer bought this aquarium and when food is dropped into the tank the water coming out of the filter jets on one side of the tank pushes all the food directly to the filter intake clogging the filter. The customer would like to know what he can do to prevent this. Thanks?"
A: What you are experiencing is fairly normal with any aquarium with an overflow at the surface. The best way to help avoid this is to introduce the food below the water surface as opposed to sprinkling it on top. This will cause it to sink slightly and not go directly to the filter. Also, many customers shut the pump off during feeding.
Q: "I am interested in the 75 gallon 75-Gal (48W x 15D x 24H in.) tank. But the picture is of a saltwater system and I can't tell if part of that 15 inches front to back is taken up by the filter system (leaving only about 12? inches front to back for the fish). Can you clarify?"
A: The filtration takes up about 4.5" in the rear, leaving 10.5" in the front compartment for the fish.
