This drafting table stool is sturdy, comfortable, and reasonably priced. It fits perfectly under my (Hayneedle) drafting table on the lowest setting, but would easily accomodate a taller or larger drafting table as well. I specifically like the footrest - a perfect fit for me. The seat is very comfortable and, overall, it is an attractive chair. I chose the gray material and really love it.

Appears to be a good product. Would've been nice to have something more than rudimentary assembly instructions and a blowup drawing so that I would not have had to guess how to assemble the chair...Read complete review

Comments about Alvin Viceroy Artist/Drafting Chair:
Buying from the internet, always worries me since I like to see exactly what I am getting. Hayneeddle had all the specified information required to know what exactly you were getting, they had a discounted price that beat all competition, free shipping and the chair got to us within 3 business days. We would definately use this site for our further needs.

Comments about Alvin Viceroy Artist/Drafting Chair:
I tried one of these at the art store. They had this one and the Alvin Prestige. Compared to the Prestige I found the Viceroy pretty uncomfortable. It felt like the backrest was pushing my bum a little further forward on the seat that I wanted. There's not much adjustment in the backrest. It does have a bit of leeway to move foreward/backwards but was already at the furthest back position. On the other hand, I preferred the teardrop footrest of the Viceroy to the round one on the Prestige. I find the round one requires bending your knees too much. Since the teardrop comes out front it is a more natural place to put your feet.

Comments about Alvin Viceroy Artist/Drafting Chair:
Plan to use at a 36" high table for working on crafts. Extends high enough to be comfortable and seems to be stable at high position. Casters make it easy to move around on a tile floor.

Comments about Alvin Viceroy Artist/Drafting Chair:
I have set up my own little makeup area and I wanted a high chair for my drafting table.
I chose this chair because of the great price and because it had a foot rest.
I have haad it for about 2 weeks and so far it is pretty great. I would definitly would make the same purchase again.
