[...]...Mounting involved 2 screws at the top and 1 screw in the middle at the bottom. Triple check your measurements before drilling!! If you're off by even a couple millimeters then it will not be as firmly secured as it should be. If you do happen to mount it precisely then it is rock solid. The construction quality of the unit is quite good. The plastic edges have taken an excruciating beating from missed darts by drunken friends and the not-so-cooridated girlfriend and it shows almost no signs of damage. The only thing it does is make a mark in the plastic that you can only see if you get a light reflection on it (essentially it just smooths out the natural texture of the plastic). One thing that is a bit of a bummer is that the outer ring that has the numbers (the out of bounds area) is only secured in a couple places, meaning that if you stick a dart in there firmly then you MUST hold down the plastic as you pull the dart out or the tension of pulling the dart will cause the plastic ring to snap. Easily avoidable.. just be careful. The segments are of good quality. If one were to happen to break then you can get any [...] segment to replace it with. [...]The electronics work well for the most part. Occasionally a dart will land in a segment and the computer will count it as missing or hitting somewhere else. This generally happens when the thrown dart hits a dart that was already in the board before it sticks itself. I guess it makes a double-hit in a sense and the computer just calls it a miss... very frustrating but it's highly rare and certainly shouldn't push you away from buying the board. The one thing that is actually annoying is that the computer forces you to way for 'the computer to remove it's virtually thrown darts.' Now this might be more realistic in terms of the true pace of a game... but seriously.. do i really have to wait 10-20 seconds after the computer throws it's darts for it to pull them out. This seems very silly. As for bounce-outs it seems to depend on how hard you throw the darts. My girlfriend gets them much more than i do, but all of her throws arch more than mine so i'd have to assume that the throwing speed is a big factor towards bounce-outs. Either way, even if it does bounce out the computer will still count it so it's no big deal. If you choose not to count it because it fell to the floor then you can set that dart(or a previous dart in the round) to be a miss.Overall, the board is of very high quality and i am pleased with my purchase. I do recommend this board.

We just received this item about a week ago and have been playing it almost every night. The first one we received, the side display did not work, but this one works great. (except for the occasional inexplicable outage of sound, which is fixed by unplugging and plugging back in)

The darts they came with are terrible. The flights are impossible to put in and will pop out 1 out of every 10 throws or so, making it pretty frustrating.

The board looks great, closed and opened. And there are a whole bunch of games to choose from, it is fun learning the new games.
The menu system takes a bit of getting use to, but the favorite list makes things real convenient.

All in all it is a good dart board, it does what it needs to. I would like to have seen better quality for the price tag on it (or a drop of price of course).I think there may be another defect that I havn't figured out yet though, because my wife has been kicking my butt on it.

Comments about Viper X-Treme Electronic Dart Board:

This is a good board. Very few bounce outs. Scores accurately, however it is very sensitive so if you bump the wall next to the board it will count a throw as a miss. You also can't delete a throw if it scores a miss and shouldn't have, or at least I couldn't figure out how to. The only other thing I wish it did is keep track of MPR while playing Cricket.

Comments about Viper X-Treme Electronic Dart Board:

I've gone through two of these boards in little over 2 years. The first one died before the warranty ran out and my phone messages and emails were never returned by the company(GLD). Being stupid I bought a second one figuring I'll use the old one for parts if the second one dies. Just over a year and the second one died. I'll see if I can salvage a board out of the two and if not, I'll try a different company. The board itself is the best board I've played on but the failures and glitches in the electronics are horrible. I practice about 2 hours a day so I do know that I am hard on boards.

i have been throwing darts in masters division for 10 years or so and i have thrown on alot of different dart boards.this board was by far the easiest to set up. you can use it at home with friends throwing a few friendly games or invite a few other darts players and hold your own tournament. i now own 11 of these darts
boards and hold many dart tournaments. you couldn't ask for a better dart board for the price.you get your moneys worth and then some.
