Actually no stars would be my rating. The holes in the "rock" are in wrong sides. The hole to insert the tube is in the back of the stone and has to bend to connect to the downspout diverter. There's no way to place the stone in position for a straight tube connection to the diverter as the directions stipulate. Also, all the pictures show the "spigot" to be in front. The one we received has the spigot on the low side edge which is very inconvenient and would be only a few inches from the house foundation (if it were on the front, it could be 20+ inches from the foundation.) Very disappointed that we cannot hook up and use this system on the downspout for which we bought it and it won't fit our other downspout situations either. Will have to find another type of barrel with a different diverter system. Save yourself money and aggravation and look for something else.

Comments about WaterStones Rescue 40 Gallon Rainwater Collection System:

When they make this rock, they ground down the edges around the bottom to shape it. The material gets very thin there so if they ground too far they cause small holes which just looking at it you can't see. Since it didn't rain right away we didn't know this and my husband threw the box away so we couldn't ship it back. He wasn't happy! It had 2 small holes that he fixed. Well, it rained again and now we found more holes that need to be fixed. If this were a $30.00-$40.00 product it wouldn't seem as bad. This item needs to be inspected better by the companies quality control before they ship them!!
I already have 2 fiskars rain barrels in the back of my house and I love them! I wanted another one for the front so I wouldn't have to run a hose through the garage to water everything out there. The granite looking rock would have been my first choice for color, but I wanted one that connected to the down spout instead of it just being a big open hole on the top. We'll get it to work if he has to patch the whole edge along the bottom.

Looks good, easy to install. Picture shows outlet hose on the side. Mine had outlet in front ( or back ) depending how it's set. Makes it easier to install on right or left of downspout.
Very pleased with product. Bob

This is the second rainbarrel of this style. Attractive and easy to install. The diverter was included in the price.
No problem attaching the diverter to the drain pipe. LIke the
fact that the overflow goes down the drain pipe, not spilling over the top like some styles.

Comments about WaterStones Rescue 40 Gallon Rainwater Collection System:

Extremely Fast shipping and beautiful barrel, but the barell needs to be rAised two cinderblocks in order to drain which defeats the purpose of faux rock since now the blocks underneath show. Overall disappointed with how the system functions, but it looks great.

That rock "looks" great!, BUT!! I will need a certified installer to get it together!! No way does that converter allow any water to go to that tubing!!! Talk about a white elephant, this is it!!

I'm so excited to use this rain collection rock to get water for my garden. We've been in a severe drought and are limited on water usage. I haven't installed the rocks yet because there is some gutter surgery that has to take place. I'll write more after I use them. :-)

The Rain Barrel looks so natural. Because I ordered it at the end of the growing season and our winters are so harsh we have not hooked it up to the drainspout yet. Dang! I wanted to see how it worked. As soon as I can next spring I will set it up and see how it works. My husband -who does NO gardening- was so impressed with the way it looked that he said I should order another... we'll see.

                  2 Questions About This Product
Q: "Do I have to make sure that the barrel is drained for the winter?"
A: It is recommended to be drained because it is plastic and if the water freezes it could crack.
Q: "Do you have a diagram of the barrel with the over flow and instructions?"
A: Yes, please see the last page of the installation guide for more details on linking two water stones together.
