I am on the final stage of the project, the shingles. The warm-up sheet was a great reference tool and I would highly suggest following all of the recommendations. Moreover, this was my first house and I found the instructions easy to follow. I would recommend putting the roof after the inside windows are in, that was the hardest part.

Great house and my four year old is in love with it.

Nicely conceived and designed. For older children or collectors. It would be very helpful to provide accurate drawings of each step. Precut luan plywood parts often split and delaminate during separation. Be prepared to sand, fill, prime and paint very small parts for hours and hours. I started to put this together in January, expecting to finish in the time described. Although I have worked on it almost every day, It is the end of March and I am still not done.

Comments about Greenleaf Westville Dollhouse Kit - 1 Inch Scale:

Overall, the house has a nice design. But...I found the materials cheap and hard to work with. The floors and walls were hard to match up. I also got several splinters because the wood was not great quality. Needed a lot of sanding and wood fill to make smooth. I actually made my house a 1920's house because of the roughness of the materials. This is my first and LAST Greenleaf kit. Stick with Real Good Toys houses: much better quality and the siding and floor are already milled for you. A much more professional looking finished product (I have done two of those.)

I ordered it on the 10th and it arrived on the 12th. I have looked it over and read the information enclosed. I can't wait to get started. The instructions are very easy to understand.

I have built a replica of my log home from the floor plans. This is the first kit of this type I have attempted.

I think this is going to be a lot of fun.

Comments about Greenleaf Westville Dollhouse Kit - 1 Inch Scale:

This was a Christmas gift from my husband December 2011. Since then I have been busy decorating it for every season & enjoying it. Since the upstairs (not attic) had only 2 rooms, I divided the room without the stairs into 2 & made a small nursery & bathroom by putting up a wall to seperate them. The bathroom has a small window & the nursery the larger one. Worked very well & furniture fits well. I also took the attic & made a sitting room in front part & small little boys bedroom in back part. That also worked well. I tried to stay with the era when decorating it...1950's & love changing it around! Have found this house so enjoyable & looking to add on to it.
