Don't make the same mistake I did

By Adam B

from Connecticut

Pros

  • Average Cooling Power

Cons

  • Hose In Awful Position
  • Tiny Water Tank

Best Uses

Hello there AC shopper, if you're reading this then it's your lucky day, I'm about to save you from purchasing the worst AC I've ever had the misfortune of owning. There is one MAJOR design flaw that manages to annoy me every day:
As anyone who owns a freestanding AC knows, you must empty the ACs water tank once and a while, this is usually accomplished by putting a bowl under the spout, however, the spout on this unit has only about 1 CENIMETER of clearance with the ground... Meaning you need to either use a bowl smaller than any I've ever seen, or use a pie tin with the side bent down..... because you need a container with a tiny clearance, this leads to making multiple trips from the back of the AC to the sink just to fully empty the tank. What's worse? It needs to be emptied 2x a day (compared to my other unit, which needs to be emptied every other day, where the spout is a proper height and I can empty its larger tank fully in one go). It's too late for my wallet, but please, learn from my mistake!
